Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Penna moved to Los Angeles to attend Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. Eager to work... she soon began designing for several record labels (Motown, Zoo, Columbia), then moved to TV Promo Design for FOX, ABC, CBS and Disney... working on such ledgendary shows as The Simpsons and COPS... (In 1995 her "Fruitopia Simpsons" concept won Best On-Air Promo at Promax!). She found that the confines of one medium was too limiting and started out on her own, working with her Print Clients from her Record Company days as well as new clients in TV. The internet was starting to really take off as well... and just like any good artist will... she ventured into the new medium, working with such clients as LL Cool J, DreamWorks Records and Warner Bros. and started the amazingly popular Shout-Outs.com web site for Teens which just launched their new line of custom illustrated stationery and gifts and was just featured in the 2005 GRAMMY Gift Bags as well as the NAACP Image Awards, designing custom illustrated gifts for such noteables as Oprah, Halle Berry, Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, Alicia Keys, Kanye West, Jamie Foxx, Gwen Stefani, Faith Hill, John Travolta, Maroon 5, Marilyn Manson, and many, many more! Being a Freelance Designer gives her the ability to work with her clients in the Bay Area as well as Los Angeles and NY. It also leaves her time to travel, rescue wild animals, swim, hike, do yoga and cook...
